I do...There would be reasons why they make changes. I don't think there is a single movie made that stays 100% true to the novels or prequels before them. Generally there is change to make it a different experience and to add to the story. Just saying... :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06706983888372623774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4895687241085948761.post-56575261158644896532010-12-12T10:50:22.778-05:002010-12-12T10:50:22.778-05:00But GOSH made a WRONG of their own!
THey 'sold...But GOSH made a WRONG of their own!
THey 'sold out' (so to speak) artistic integrity. Their 'official sequel' has a LOT of mistakes in it as compared to the Barrie's original stories. FOr instance, it says one cannot fly without a shadow - if so, then Pan could never have flown back to the Darlings' window to retrieve it. She also says Pan went back to his mother's window only once - Barrie wrote of two visits. There are other errors, too... not to mention some really silly parts.
It has some great moments, too, but those hardly matter when it can't even stay consistent with its source material.
(For the record, the Barry/Pearson novels have even MORE mistakes - even worse than the fact-checking kind.)A Pan Fannoreply@blogger.com
